So we have a little dog that likes to dig in bare dirt. When it rains, we get muddy pawprints all over the house. We figured we should do somethign about that.
It all started with a big pile of rocks.
and a couple of plastic liners, and a can of orange spray paint....
That big pile of rocks went a pretty good distance, but not quite far enough.
so we loaded up the truck (the racks are usually 4" over my head)
and brought in another r pile of rocks.
These went a lot farther.
All the way under the patio in fact.
and all the way out the the gate.
luckily, there were enough to do the whole thing.
The next morning, in better light
So now that we knew there were enough rocks to do the whole thing, it was time to move them all again.
and dig a big 'ol hole.
The fountain goes in. waterfountain for the Matilda that is.
the plants move into position...
More digging. +
with the hole dug, time to fill the hole. The first layer was 4 cubic yards of stone pack. Too bad it could only be dumped in the street.
we had a visitor while moving the pile.
cute little bugger. I home it doesn't live in the chimney.
there was pleanty to go around.
time for the carpet.... wait, weren't we supposed to get another plile of dirt first?
nope, not in there.....
ahhh there it is...
the race is on... stone vs grass.
Looks like grass won.
but the stone was not too far behind.
hmmm... extra sod. Time to move re-locate the dog house
the last little bit.....
Wiley's new waterfront lot.
